A look behind the scenes. Why did pixelart open an office in Vienna in the summer of 2024? It’s a question we hear again and again – from partners, clients, and applicants alike. Is it about prestige? A strategic move to support our growth? Or just a sales office? The answer is simple, yet profound: We were homesick for the faraway.
pixelart stands for Meaningful Digital Impact – and you can feel it in every fiber of what we do. Those who live and love digital are a perfect match for pixelart. With our new Vienna location, fresh energy is flowing into our work – not just through the physical expansion, but also thanks to new team members. Exchange with the Salzburg head office remains essential, because despite the physical distance, we stay closely connected as one team.

Longstanding Clients and New Opportunities
We’re already working with renowned clients in Vienna – Siemens, Porr AG, and the digital team at Wüstenrot all call this city home. Most recently, we launched a complex, data-driven digital platform for OeAD – the Austrian Agency for Education and Internationalisation.
So far, the Vienna market has welcomed us warmly – and we hope it continues to do so. Maybe we bring a breath of fresh air as a Salzburg-based digital agency? While Salzburg is shaped by large digital players with deep platform expertise, Vienna stands out for its many specialized boutique studios. We see this diversity as the perfect complement – and with our unique setup and specialization, we feel right at home here.
Vienna-Office
Studio Vibes with Room to Grow
Our Vienna office currently hosts a core team of ten – and we’re growing. We’ve intentionally based a dedicated Performance Marketing unit here, as both the market and the talent pool in Vienna are especially strong in this field. The team is supported by project managers who work closely with our Salzburg units – ensuring that the pixelart DNA remains strong in Vienna too.
Our office reflects the way we work: modern equipment, an open atmosphere, and a flexible workspace design that fosters creativity. Compared to our Salzburg HQ, the Vienna office features a mix of flexible and assigned workstations. Both spaces are located in charming historic buildings – while our Salzburg home once housed the Universalversand, the Vienna office is set in a former textile factory.
